2012 Weddings

Yesterday wrapped up the 2012 wedding season for me. I ended up with a total of eight big days this year. Eight doesn’t sound like a big number but it was more than I expected to book in my first year after college and I feel very proud of the work that I’ve been able to produce. Like most accomplishments, photographing a wedding is both challenging and rewarding. Although I haven’t finished editing the last few, I know that I have some of my best work in there. I will be updating my website all winter.

I also feel as though I’ve grown a lot as a photographer and business woman. I better understand what aspects of being a professional photographer brings me joy and what aspects make me stress and worry. I have a better understanding of what I want for my photography business and my future in general. All in all, I’m pleased with this past year and am looking forward to what the next season holds.

This photo is from the wedding I shot yesterday. I don’t want to post any of my faves yet because I want the couple to see them first. I’ve only started editing, but I’m excited about how everything turned out. I had such a fun day, everything went smoothly (even though it was stressful at times) and the couple was super adorable. I found myself tearing up at times because they were really just that cute. Ha. I’m excited to share the rest!
